We decided it was time to let McKay experience beach life. In January we went back to Oahu for a week of shorts, sandals and the beach. The weather was in the low 80's most of the week while it was in the 20's in Salt Lake. We spent most of our time on the beach but we did visit a couple of our favorite places on the island including: Ted's Bakery on the North Shore, Waimea Falls, Waimea State Park, the Dole Pineapple plantation, and the Aloha Stadium swap meet.
We loved swimming everyday and being with the ones we love.
The other night we watched 50 First Dates. I miss Hawaii.

Hike to Fifth Water Hot Springs
Yesterday Aidan and I took a hike up to Fifth Water Hot Springs with some friends. The trail is up Diamond Head Canyon just outside of Spanish Fork. The hike in is just over 2 miles and then we took a dip in the hot springs where we also had lunch. It was a fun morning activity and very much recommended for anyone who is adventurous. Aidan walked almost the whole way up and we ran the whole way down. To see more - that may be a little more clear - click here - for the outdoor club's website that we went with.

December 3, 2006 McKay's Blessing Day
Today we blessed baby McKay. He was perfectly asleep and quiet the whole time. Friends and Family came from all over Utah to support him. It was the perfect day. After the blessing we had approximately 40 people over to our little house for lunch. We want to thank everyone for their support of this very special day.

Behind us you can see our perfect tree. November 22 the boys and I headed out hunting and found the perfect Christmas tree. We left at 6:00 am and drove to our favorite hunting ground Koosharem Utah.
The drive is about 3 1/2 hours. It costs us a full tank of gas and we are exhausted by the time we get home but we have a lot of fun.
Some might ask "Isn't it cheaper to run to the local tree lot and buy a tree, wouldn't it be much faster?" I would say " Where is the fun in that?"

McKay Drew Anderson: October 2nd 2006
He must have known it was time. Although Jamie was scheduled to be induced on Monday October 2nd, McKay must have known too, but he couldnt wait. I looked at the clock as we rounded the corner from 1300 S and South Temple and it read 12:05 am. Jamie thought she was in labor, we called the Hospital and they told us to come in. At 6:02 McKay was born. The interesting thing is that the nurse told us there were 11 inductions scheduled for that day and that the hospital was full. If we were to be induced it would have been Tuesday at the earliest. As it was Jamie and Mckay came home on Tuesday. Much thanks to friends and family who fed us, clothed the baby, and took the "big boys" so Mom and Dad could take care of McKay.
